The story of the life, work and transformation of a contemporary Ukrainian artist
artist Andriy Chebotaru
The beginning of a creative life
He was born on December 23, 1984 in Sevastopol (Crimea, Ukraine) into a family of artists. His father, Nikolay Chebotaru, is a representative of the more classical, Soviet school of painting. His mother, Tamara Chebotaru, is an artist, a master of still life, a teacher and a decorator.
Since childhood, he has been fond of drawing
My parents passed on their love for art and taught me all the basics for my future professional work
I grew up in a family of artists and surrounded by the nature of mountains, rivers, forests and the sea. Nature became my teacher of color, detail and passion for the beauty that is all around us.
From 1995 to 2002 he studied at the fine arts studio run by my parents. He graduated from the Inkerman Art School. Then he studied at the Crimean Art School named after M. Samokysh (teacher - V. Grigoriev). Since 2007, he studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, where his teachers were prominent figures in the world of Ukrainian art - Zabashta V. I. and Melnychuk I. Y. Also, while studying in Kyiv, his creative mentor was People's Artist Mykola Storozhenko.
